Spectacle Frame:

The most common complain seen in any spectacle frame is the hinge being cut off. The hinge would first become hard and stiff before getting snapped off. By using one drop of coconut oil on a monthly basis on the hinge, reduces friction and increases the life of the frame.

The frame front and the temples (sides) needs to be cleaned dry with a microfiber cloth. Water is strictly not advisable and can cause peeling of the metallic color.

Nose pads if any needs to be replaced once in three months for better comfort.

Spectacle Lenses:

Plastic lenses has taken the world by storm for it many advantages like being light weight , shatter proof and being very comfortable on the face, however it is a very soft material and is very easily prone to scratches (especially during wiping the lenses)

The best way to increase the life of any spectacle lenses is to use special formulated chemical sprays along with a clean microfiber cloth, which removes the dust, smudge, oil and finger prints from the surface of the lens without damaging the lens.
